Hello 2011
Today is New Years Eve, and we are ready for 2011 at the Coombs' house tonight. My kids are dressed and ready to party. They are finally over most of their colds, ear infections, and sore throat. Unfortunately, they gave some of it to Caleb and myself. Here are some highlights of our year:
Caleb finished dental school in June, passed all of his test in August, got his dental license in September, had shoulder surgery in December, got to do a lot of duck hunting this year with his good friend Josh, went fishing and learned how to bow fish, did some off-roading in the Jeep, went snowboarding a lot earlier this year when the snow finally showed up, spent some time in Roseburg with his friend Johnny, did a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament and whooped up on everyone, moved us into our new beautiful home, and has played with his kids as much as possible.
Renae spent the first part of the year pregnant, working full-time, teaching classes at the gym, and keeping up with the kids. I got back into running after Calvin was born and I am running about 20 miles a week now. I am really busy at work and don't get to teach classes at the gym now that we are down in Salem. The Courthouse wants to hire me to teach there instead of 24 Hour Fitness, but I'm still debating that offer. I spend a lot of time with my kids, playing at the park, playing with my sisters' kids, and taking them around to see other family.
Shelby Lu turned two, learned that lipstick is a staple of life, refuses to let her mother dress her up in pretty hair bows without having to pay up in juice or chocolate, loves to feed her baby brother, jumps every where all day long, likes to dance and imitate dance moves from movies (she's pretty good too), likes to play with duck calls and hunting stuff with her dad, is obsessed with Jeep's and other cars, dances in her room all night when she is suppose to be in bed, loves to color and draw, and is great at saying prayers with her family.
Calvin Vernon was born in June and is very easy to please. He loves to eat blankets, stuffed animals, pull his sisters hair, laugh at Shelby, loves to jump in his toys, sleeps really well, eats all the time, has an adorable laugh that makes everyone in the room laugh too, sits quietly in your lap for hours, likes to watch anything with lights, and snuggles up for loves when he's tired.
