Mud

Shelby can find water anywhere. It never ceases to amaze us that she can find a leaking hose, a bucket with some rain water, or a puddle in a parking lot. This is at my grandma's house in Sweet Home. Shelby could not resist. I caught a couple of good moments with her and the hang time she has.

Time with cousins R2J2 2011

It was so nice to have family in town this week. I wish we got together more often and for longer periods of time. I grew up with cousins in town and we got together regularly. My closest cousins are in Utah and it makes it hard to hang out regularly. Jocelyn and Jessica were my sister and my closest family members growing up. We are all four the same age and we have kids that are the same age. We hit up the park, ate some amazing Thai food, hung out in Sweet Home, and just caught up with each other. Next we all are going to Utah for my Uncle Gordon's wedding. Hoping we can continue the fun then. Here's my beautiful cousin Jessica and Calvin  Jessica and Steve. We just love them and their craziness. I'm so happy that after three kids and 13 years of marriage, they still spank each other. That shows true love.  The carousel is a must-see for the cousins when they are here  James (Jessica's second child)  Taran (Jessica's oldest)

My Grandfather, David Keith Walker

My Grandpa Walker passed away on Friday, April 29th at 8 am. He was just a few weeks shy of turning 81. He went out fishing the day before and he slipped and fell loading the boat and broke 3 ribs, one in 3 places. He finished loading the boat and then went to urgent care. They told him to go home and get some rest, to wear his brace and come back in the morning. The next morning when he woke up, he told Grandma that he was in no pain at all. That's pretty rare for a rib injury, so Grandma was a little concerned. She asked him to get up and use the bathroom and when he stood up, he collapsed and was unresponsive. Grandma called 911 and then called Aunt Barb, Grandpa's sister who lives near. My mother also got a call since she is always quick to respond and be there for her dad. When Grandma went back to check on him, she noticed his breathing started to become labored and he was taking a turn for the worse. Before the ambulance arrived, he had died. We are terribly sad to miss
