Making her dad proud

Image
Shelby has fallen in love with brushing her teeth. She gets so excited when she sees the tooth brush coming her way. Caleb is pretty sure that I should brush her teeth each time she eats. I think we all know that's never going to happen. I don't even brush my own teeth that much.

Fifth Anniversary

Image
Our anniversary was spent at the Oregon coast with friends and our sweet little girl Shelby. We decided to rent a condo with our friends Josh and Lindsey. We stayed for three nights. We had a nice hot tub on the back porch, a swim pool indoors, and a full kitchen in our room. The boys went crabbing and Lindsey and I stayed in the room and watched a chick flick. We went out to dinner, walked on the freezing cold beach, went shopping and hung out.  Family picture at the beach After we got back to Portland, Caleb and I went out to Esan's for a nice adult dinner. Josh and Lindsey watched Shelby so we could spend some time together to officially celebrate the anniversary. We had a great time and it was fun to celebrate year five!

Homemade sweater

Caleb's patient in dental school brought us the cutest gift last week. His wife made us this sweater for Shelby. I love it and thought it was so sweet. We took pictures to send back as a thank you card. I need to learn how to make things!

Trip to Utah

Image
We made it all the way to Utah and back with 13 hour drives both ways. Shelby did awesome in the car and I refused to take her out of her car seat when we were driving. As long as she could look at pictures on my iPhone she was a happy girl. Good thing I had my car charger with me! She got to meet her newest cousin Mara, who we just love! Here she is with her cousins Mara and Taren. Caleb decided his new favorite thing is to put Shelby on his shoulders. It was only a matter of time before she puked on his head, and yes, she did. He was all smiles about it though. Pretty amazing what you think is cute when it's your own kid. We got to see the whole Coombs family when we were there. Here's Caleb's parents and grandparents.
