New secret love

I'm coming out of the closet about something that most mothers and women would not understand. That's ok if you don't get why I did this. Since I sold my quad ten years ago, the plan was for me to buy a motorcycle. I never did it but Caleb did. I was really excited for him and behind it 100% and thought my bike was soon to follow. Well, that took longer than I expected. My priorities changed after having kids and I didn't want something that was going to take more time and money away from my family. Until now. Now, I needed something. We have been trying to get pregnant for one year now. Caleb has been working away from home for two years now. I am exhausted, lonely, and not quite myself. I can't really explain what's been happening, but I can tell you what made me feel better. That was buying a bike. I have gone on a ride every weekend, usually multiple times a weekend, and I feel complete freedom and awesomeness. I love riding this bike. It's exactly the bike I wanted and we got it cheap and could easily pay cash for it. I bought top of the line safety gear and I won't ride without it. I don't have pants yet so I am borrowing my dads lame chaps. Ha! They look hilarious but they are better than jeans. I only like to ride out in the country on twisty roads with no traffic. These crazy guys who drive around town in shorts and tank tops are idiots. I really don't need anybody to see me ride. I just want to disappear for awhile with Caleb and go make out on our bikes. If your love life needs a pick-me-up, go get a motorcycle. It works wonders. Ha ha.

Caleb has been a great coach and he is always super helpful on our rides. He helps me ride safe, and pushes me to ride better all the time. I took a class on how to ride it for  day and that was helpful too, but nothing like putting lots of hours and miles on the bike.

Calvin had a bad day

I got a call at work from Krista, the lady who watches my kids. She said Calvin fell and hit his lip and probably needed stitches. I picked up my purse and ran out of work as quick as I could. I was on hold for 15 minutes trying to reach his doctor, which was aggravating. But once they answered I was at Krista's door and could see what was going on. Calvin was playing in a bedroom, tripped, and fell onto the frame of the bunkbed. Which is metal by the way. The sharp edge of it too. Poor kid always falls, but usually it's the forehead that gets the brunt of it. This time it was his lip. The upper part of his gums really. You can see most of the cut here: We finally reached his doctor and took him in. They didn't give him stitches even though it was still bleeding. It's been 8 hours now and it still bleeds when he talks, eats or drinks anything. It has not stopped him from doing his sound effects for cars and trucks so he spits blood everywhere. June was the craziest month I have had in a long time. I am soooo glad it's July! Caleb almost didn't graduate on time and had to pay for summer term. He had one crown that he had to do twice because the lab kept messing it up. The school finally notified us three weeks after graduation that he was OK to graduate and could come checkout. We found out Caleb didn't pass his boards completely and now gets to fly down to California in August to re-do part of it. He has to fly two different patients down too with him, once he finds them. Hopefully he can find one patient that needs both procedures to help save costs. His job in Eugene didn't workout since he didn't pass his boards. They needed someone to start immediately, so they gave it to someone else. The company, Capital Dental, still considers him employed and is keeping his contract. So he still has work, we just have no idea where it will be right now. Hopefully it will be somewhere close to this house we j

Thanksgiving 2022

We came back to Sunriver with the Bingham's again for Thanksgiving weekend. This year we even convinced the Olsen's to join us. We got a sick house that fit us all perfectly. The weather was cold but sunny so we went for walks every day. It was too cold for bike rides. We did the typical Sunriver activities including eating a ton of food, playing games, and watching football all day. The kids went to K1 racing and raced go karts, which is a new favorite activity. Even Shelby loves it and it's hard to find activities she wants to do with us like that. I think we will definitely keep coming back each year as long as we can.
