Coming soon, our baby boy!

We found out last month that it's a healthy baby boy. Calvin is beyond excited and Shelby finally is too. Shelby and Calvin both went to the ultrasound with Caleb and me and it was so cute. They loved to see the babies little hands, feet, and heart. Shelby was ver interested in the brain, which is typical Shelby.

When they announced it was a boy, Shelby actually cried. She wanted a little sister so bad. Caleb and I weren't sure if she was being serious or joking but she really was sad. For the next three days she wouldn't talk about it and would get really upset all over again. And now, she's very excited and totally ready to be a big sister again.

Caleb is not a very protective or worried husband. He always tells me that he knows I can handle myself and he loves how independent I am. However, my kids think I am a total baby and they are so worried about me all the time. If we go for walks, they tell me where to go to be safe. Shelby is always trying to feed me extra food for the baby. Calvin won't let me do anything that he considers dangerous, like climbing or hiking too much. It's so cute because they haven't seen it role modeled and it's just their own sweet little instincts kicking in. I absolutely love it and I feel really taken care of.

We are very excited and spoiled to be blessed with another child!

Calvin had a bad day

I got a call at work from Krista, the lady who watches my kids. She said Calvin fell and hit his lip and probably needed stitches. I picked up my purse and ran out of work as quick as I could. I was on hold for 15 minutes trying to reach his doctor, which was aggravating. But once they answered I was at Krista's door and could see what was going on. Calvin was playing in a bedroom, tripped, and fell onto the frame of the bunkbed. Which is metal by the way. The sharp edge of it too. Poor kid always falls, but usually it's the forehead that gets the brunt of it. This time it was his lip. The upper part of his gums really. You can see most of the cut here: We finally reached his doctor and took him in. They didn't give him stitches even though it was still bleeding. It's been 8 hours now and it still bleeds when he talks, eats or drinks anything. It has not stopped him from doing his sound effects for cars and trucks so he spits blood everywhere. June was the craziest month I have had in a long time. I am soooo glad it's July! Caleb almost didn't graduate on time and had to pay for summer term. He had one crown that he had to do twice because the lab kept messing it up. The school finally notified us three weeks after graduation that he was OK to graduate and could come checkout. We found out Caleb didn't pass his boards completely and now gets to fly down to California in August to re-do part of it. He has to fly two different patients down too with him, once he finds them. Hopefully he can find one patient that needs both procedures to help save costs. His job in Eugene didn't workout since he didn't pass his boards. They needed someone to start immediately, so they gave it to someone else. The company, Capital Dental, still considers him employed and is keeping his contract. So he still has work, we just have no idea where it will be right now. Hopefully it will be somewhere close to this house we j

Love/hate life

This year has been a very interesting year. Maybe this is how life goes when you're old. Some things are going very well for us and we could not be happier. And other things are just weird if not completely awful. One issue at a time here folks: My job- is the best job ever. Honestly, I have the best benefits and pay that I know of. For being a 33-year old female, I don't know too many other women who have the job of their dreams and the pay to match. I don't have to worry about money, I can afford to contribute a lot of money to retirement, and save for my kids college. I get to help employees at my work be safe on the job and healthy. We have changed peoples lives and I get kudos from employees regularly on how our program has helped make them a better parent. I rarely ever work overtime, and I get paid to travel around and speak at large events and share our company success. We have the best day care for my kids and they love being there so much that we usually never l
