Time with cousins R2J2 2011

It was so nice to have family in town this week. I wish we got together more often and for longer periods of time. I grew up with cousins in town and we got together regularly. My closest cousins are in Utah and it makes it hard to hang out regularly. Jocelyn and Jessica were my sister and my closest family members growing up. We are all four the same age and we have kids that are the same age. We hit up the park, ate some amazing Thai food, hung out in Sweet Home, and just caught up with each other. Next we all are going to Utah for my Uncle Gordon's wedding. Hoping we can continue the fun then.

 Jessica and Steve. We just love them and their craziness. I'm so happy that after three kids and 13 years of marriage, they still spank each other. That shows true love.

June was the craziest month I have had in a long time. I am soooo glad it's July! Caleb almost didn't graduate on time and had to pay for summer term. He had one crown that he had to do twice because the lab kept messing it up. The school finally notified us three weeks after graduation that he was OK to graduate and could come checkout. We found out Caleb didn't pass his boards completely and now gets to fly down to California in August to re-do part of it. He has to fly two different patients down too with him, once he finds them. Hopefully he can find one patient that needs both procedures to help save costs. His job in Eugene didn't workout since he didn't pass his boards. They needed someone to start immediately, so they gave it to someone else. The company, Capital Dental, still considers him employed and is keeping his contract. So he still has work, we just have no idea where it will be right now. Hopefully it will be somewhere close to this house we j

Calvin had a bad day

I got a call at work from Krista, the lady who watches my kids. She said Calvin fell and hit his lip and probably needed stitches. I picked up my purse and ran out of work as quick as I could. I was on hold for 15 minutes trying to reach his doctor, which was aggravating. But once they answered I was at Krista's door and could see what was going on. Calvin was playing in a bedroom, tripped, and fell onto the frame of the bunkbed. Which is metal by the way. The sharp edge of it too. Poor kid always falls, but usually it's the forehead that gets the brunt of it. This time it was his lip. The upper part of his gums really. You can see most of the cut here: We finally reached his doctor and took him in. They didn't give him stitches even though it was still bleeding. It's been 8 hours now and it still bleeds when he talks, eats or drinks anything. It has not stopped him from doing his sound effects for cars and trucks so he spits blood everywhere.
